Halmiocistus Sahuchii is a dense low-growing evergreen shrub, that blooms white flowers in summers and is ideal for covering rocks and low walls. This plant prefers warm regions and sunny spots, growing trailing or spreading branches that bear narrow dark green leaves. These leaves are evergreen and keep the plant dynamic in all seasons.
Halmiocistus Sahuchii, also called as the Sahuchii Rock Rose, produces saucer shaped, medium-sized bright white flowers with yellow stamens. Even though these beautiful flowers carry no particular strong scent, they still manage to attract bees.
Unlike other Halmiocistus shrubs that bloom only for early-mid summer, Sahuchii flowers rise and shine all summer long. They are ideal for growing in rock gardens overs low walls.
Sahuchii Rock Rose likes warmth, it will thrive in sunny spot planted in a more or less fertile and well-drained sandy soil. The shrub will grow hardier when it is nourished with full sunlight.
Sahuchii does not demand much maintenance or care for flourishing. It is dwarf-sized, little pruning is sufficient to keep the shape of the shrub. Plant Halmiocistus Sahuchii on slopes and banks, or use them as ground cover.
Their compact, mound-forming habit is pretty suitable for covering low walls, transforming your rock garden.
