Chinese Bonsai Elms are one of the most popularly grown semi-evergreen indoor houseplants, featuring vivid foliage and branching shape. These are slow-growing miniature trees, native to China, appreciated for their extremely unique form.
In their natural habitat, these trees can grow as tall as 20 metres in height. You can grow them in decorative containers indoors in office or home. Chinese Elm is most common Bonsai, that thrives in shade but demands more than average maintenance.
It is important to water them regularly as they prefer moist soil. They can grow a thick trunk and large number of branches. Prune them in late autumn to maintain their miniature size.
