Characteristics: Apple Golden Delicious is a variety of fruit tree producing beautiful, golden yellow apples with a sweet and crisp texture. Fruits are ready to harvest from September onwards have a sweet taste and are also great for cooking.

Growth and spread: These fruit trees can reach an ultimate height and spread of approximately 4-8 metres.

Care and maintenance: Plant your Golden Delicious apple tree in moist, well-drained, in an area where it will receive direct sunlight. This variety grows well alongside another variety of apple. Water well during the first year until the plant is well established and continue to water frequently throughout the growing season.

Period of interest: Deciduous, green foliage blooms each year from spring until autumn, accompanied throughout spring by white and pink blossoms. Fruits begin to grow after flowering and can be harvest from September onwards.

Apple Golden Delicious is a variety of apple tree, producing a crop of golden, greenish yellow apples with a sweet taste once they have ripened fully. Vibrant, green foliage is accompanied throughout spring by a profusion of ruffled blooms in shades of white tinged with pale pink. After the blossoms have gone, Golden Delicious apples will begin to grow and ripen, ready from harvest from around September onwards.

Golden Delicious apples are an incredibly popular variety for eating straight from harvest, but also for use in cooking. Although this variety is not the easiest to grow, it is perfect for fans of gardening and growing fruit to add an extra challenge. Golden delicious is excellent for growing with other varieties, and it will grow particularly well in milder parts of the UK.
