Characteristics: Syringa Madame Lemoine, a variety of Lilac tree, are beautiful, deciduous outdoor plants with green, heart-shaped leaves and clusters of small, fragrant, pure white flowers.

Growth and Spread: These garden trees can reach an ultimate height and spread of approximately 2.5-4 metres.

Care and Maintenance: Plant Lilac trees in moist, well-drained, alkaline to neutral soil in full sun. These garden shrubs will tolerate some light shade, but full sun is best for optimum flower production. Prune after flowering.

Period of Interest: Deciduous foliage dies away over the winter months, returning each spring, whilst flowers begin to bloom in spring and continue throughout the summer months.

Syringa Madame Lemoine, a stunning variety of Lilac tree, is an outdoor shrub with attractive, heart-shaped green leaves and large clusters of small, delicate, pure white flowers which contrast beautifully against the darker foliage.

These garden plants are great for adding to the garden as a centrepiece on its own, but they also look fabulous in mixed perennial borders. These small trees can even be planted together to create flowering hedges.
