Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
SEASONAL AVAILABILITY - Bare Root plants are supplied from late November until Spring the following year.
CHARACTERISTICS - Cornus alba Sibirica is known for it's bright red coloured stems in winter with white flower and blue berries.
HEIGHT AND SPREAD - Supplied in their dormant state, Red Dogwood grows at 2-3ft per year and can reach up to 4m+ at full maturity with a spread of 4m.
PLANTING TIPS - Bare-Root hedging is typically planted in a double staggered row of 5 plants per metre. Evergreen plants are generally planted to less density than deciduous plants, such is the nature of their dense foliage.
Cornus alba Sibirica is commonly known as 'Red Dogwood' and is a very popular shrub that displays green foliage in Summer. Once the foliage falls this plant shows its very vivid bright red stems that are an amazing colour for winter and the white flowers and black berries are excellent for attracting and feeding wildlife and wild birds.
Cornus alba Sibirica will do fine in any type of soil. Red Dogwood tree grows at around 2-3 feet per year and will grow to 4m+ in its lifetime.
