Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Prunus serrulata Kanzan is a deciduous ornamental tree that develops bronze/pink leaves in early spring before becoming a glossy green during summer. The leaves are soon followed by fully double, rich pink coloured flowers that can reach 3.5cm wide, you'll see the first blooms in late spring that last into summer. This tree is trained as a straight 'lollipop stem' variety and would look great in a small garden or patio.
From the Rosaceae family, this tree prefers moist, well-drained, organically rich soil - ideal for clay, loam, sandy, or chalky soils. Perfect for planting in locations that get plenty of sun but will do just as well in partial shade, it will require some shelter during winter.
Once settled into their new environment, this prunus tree will become fairly low maintenance and need minimal pruning. Due to being deciduous, they require little or no pruning - Just clip away any uneven or extra-long branches if necessary. If planting in Spring or Summer, water well and regularly for the first few months. If planting in Autumn, little watering is required. Make sure not to over-hydrate and don't let the soil dry out during the warmer months.

Prunus 'Kanzan' is a beautiful ornamental tree that has gorgeous coppery-brown foliage which grows in a spherical shape. During Spring and Summer, they will bloom deep purplish-pink flowers that will brighten up your patio, border, mixed containers and small garden - making it very pleasing to the eye. Prunus plants are fairly low maintenance and perfect for beginners.
Plant in well-drained, moist soils and position in a full sun or partially shaded area. Once planted, monitor the area around for any competing weeds. Once this plant is established, it will require only a small amount of care as they are extremely hardy, tolerating poor soils as well as drought and hot or cold conditions.
