Product description
'Golden Queen' is a striking Globeflower that produces highly unusual, deeply bowl-shaped flowers in a brilliant, glowing shade of golden-orange, featuring a prominent crown of prominent, upright staminodes in the centre. The bright, jewel-like blooms sit atop stiff stems and deeply divided, dark green foliage, bringing intense colour to damp garden areas.
This plant is a true moisture-lover and thrives in heavy, wet soils, making it ideal for planting around the edges of ponds or in bog gardens. It performs best in partial shade or full sun (provided the soil never dries out) and should be cut back heavily after its first flush of flowers to encourage a second, later display.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

To stop Trollius plants from looking ragged and exhausted after its main spring show, shear the foliage all the way back to the ground; it will reward you by pushing up a fresh mound of pristine green leaves and a second flush of flowers.
How to Water
Trollius thrives in constantly moist to boggy soil. Water frequently to ensure the ground never dries out, especially in summer. They love "wet feet" and will quickly wilt if the soil becomes parched or too warm.
How to Plant
Dig a hole in the heaviest, wettest clay or loam you have, as Trollius plants naturally thrives in damp meadows and boggy pond margins. Enrich the dirt heavily with well-rotted manure or compost to provide the massive amounts of nutrients it needs to support its heavy blooms.
