Product description
Small green leaves splashed with golden yellow give Thymus Doone Valley a colourful, textured appearance, while its low, spreading habit makes it well suited to the edges of autumn baskets and containers. Also known as Creeping Lemon Thyme, the plant’s foliage has a fresh lemon scent when brushed or touched, adding an extra sensory feature to the display. Small pale pink flowers appear in summer, providing a delicate contrast to the foliage earlier in the year. Supplied as a pack of 6 plants, it brings a useful mix of colour, texture, and fragrance to seasonal planting.
A sunny position and free-draining compost will suit Creeping Lemon Thyme well, as it prefers not to sit in wet conditions. Water the plants regularly while they establish, then allow the compost to dry slightly between waterings. The foliage can be lightly trimmed to maintain a neat shape, while removing any damaged growth helps keep the plants looking tidy. Thymus Doone Valley is an easy addition to autumn baskets and containers, combining colourful foliage with a mat-forming habit and aromatic leaves.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Adding a thin layer of grit or fine gravel around the base of Thyme helps keep the foliage away from constantly damp compost. It also improves drainage around the crown and gives the basket a natural, Mediterranean-style finish.
How to Water
Water regularly after planting while it establishes, then allow the compost to dry out slightly between waterings. Thyme prefers drier conditions once settled, so avoid overwatering and ensure excess moisture can drain away freely from the basket or container.
How to Plant
Plant Thymus in a basket or container filled with a free-draining compost, placing the plants so their low, spreading habit has room to develop. Firm the compost gently around the base and water well after planting to help the plants settle, then position the container in a sunny spot for the best colour and fragrance.
