Product description
Also known as 'Golden Baby', this is a fantastic dwarf variety of Goldenrod that produces an abundance of dense, fluffy, golden-yellow flower plumes on a neat, compact frame. Unlike older, weedier varieties of Goldenrod, this cultivar is well-behaved and provides intense, late-season colour that is highly attractive to migrating butterflies.
This plant is incredibly hardy, drought-tolerant, and adaptable to almost any soil type, provided it is well-drained. It requires full sun for the strongest growth; cut the old stems back to the ground once the yellow plumes have faded to keep the clump looking neat and healthy.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
The Solidago is one of the easiest plants to propagate; simply dig a sharp spade straight down through the center of the clump in early spring to divide it in half, instantly giving you a free, vigorous new plant.
How to Water
Solidago (Goldenrod) is highly drought-tolerant once established. Water regularly during its first season to develop roots; thereafter, only water during extreme dry spells. It prefers well-drained soil and dislikes being waterlogged.
How to Plant
Settle this dwarf goldenrod Solidago into average or even poor soil, as overly rich dirt will cause it to grow leggy and flop over. It is incredibly tough and establishes quickly, forming a dense, well-behaved mound that won't take over the garden like its wilder cousins.
