Product description
Better known as Small Scabious or the Pincushion flower, Scabiosa Flutter Pure White is an attractive flowering perennial for growing in flower beds, borders, and pots. It produces ruffled, lightly fragranced flowers from June to September in a dazzling pure white, as the name would suggest. These blooms grow on tall stems above a bed of semi-evergreen grey-green foliage and act as a magnet to bees and butterflies, enticing pollinators into the garden. They make excellent cut flowers and are a popular choice for vase displays, either on their own or with other mixed blooms.
Grow Pincushions in full sun in any moist but well-draining soil. Scabiosa Flutter is a low maintenance garden plant that is easy to grow. It is generally resistant to pests and diseases and doesn’t require pruning. However, regularly deadheading spent blooms promotes fresh new growth and further flowering later into the season.
Water lightly but regularly until the plant is fully established, after which it is relatively drought tolerant, only needing to be watered during dry spells of weather. Mulch in winter to help protect the roots against frost damage.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.
