Product description
'Blue Paradise' is a tall, elegant Garden Phlox that offers highly fragrant flower panicles that uniquely change colour depending on the light; they open pale blue, shift to a rich, deep violet-blue in the evening or on cloudy days, and feature a dark, contrasting eye.
This perennial requires a spot in full sun or light shade and thrives in rich, consistently moist soil. Good air circulation is absolutely vital for this plant to prevent powdery mildew from damaging the leaves; avoid watering it from overhead, and thin out the weaker stems to allow the breeze to flow through the clump.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
To stagger the bloom time and create a bushier Phlox plant, take a pair of shears in early summer and chop the front half of the stems down by a third; the uncut stems will bloom first, followed weeks later by the chopped stems.
How to Water
Water Phlox deeply at the base to keep soil consistently moist. Aim for one inch of water weekly, especially in summer. Avoid overhead watering to prevent powdery mildew, a common issue for this plant's dense foliage.
How to Plant
Settle these tall perennial Phlox plants into rich, well-draining loam, spacing them generously apart so the wind can easily blow between the mature stems. Work a handful of balanced organic fertilizer into the planting hole to fuel their massive summer flower displays.
