Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Deadhead faded blooms and pinch back straggly stems to promote fresh growth and longer flowering. Feed every two weeks with a high-potash fertiliser to keep the display full, bright, and blooming all season long.
How to Water
Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during hot or windy conditions. Petunias in containers may need daily watering in summer. Avoid overwatering or letting the soil completely dry out, and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
How to Plant
Plant Petunia bedding plants in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered location. These colourful, mound-forming plants are ideal for borders, containers, and mass displays. Space plants 20–30cm apart to give them room to spread and create a carpet of vibrant blooms.
