Product description
Ideal for adding height and architectural interest to beds and borders, Miscanthus Adagio is an attractive ornamental grass with long, slender, strap-like leaves in a vibrant shade of green. From late summer, tall stems bear silvery plumes of flowers that fade in colour with maturity, turning silvery-white as autumn progresses. These feathery plumes can be left in situ to provide texture interest throughout winter.
Also known by the common names Eulalia or Maiden Grass, Miscanthus Adagio adds texture and movement to any outdoor space. Its narrow leaves and tall flower stems sway and shimmer in the breeze, the silver plumes contrasting beautifully with the rich green foliage.
Miscanthus Adagio is a low maintenance ornamental grass that is easy to care for. it thrives in full sun and prefers moist but well-draining soil. Fully hardy, Miscanthus only requires an annual prune in early spring to remove old stems and make way for fresh new growth.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Miscanthus thrives with a yearly trim in early spring before new growth appears. This helps maintain shape and promotes fresh growth.
How to Water
Water Miscanthus regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, they are drought-tolerant but will benefit from occasional deep watering during dry periods. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
How to Plant
Plant Miscanthus in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant in, and fill the hole with soil. Space plants about 90-120cm apart to allow for growth. Water thoroughly after planting.
