Product description

This six pack of Marigold French Durango Yellow bedding plants will bring a stunning splash of vivid yellow colour to your garden. This marigold variety has large anemone-crested blooms on sturdy stems and fragrant, ferny leaves which remain dark green in colour throughout the season. They are early flowering from late spring and keep on producing their abundant blooms until autumn. This popular, sunny garden fixture looks amazing dotted around a collection of patio containers or in bedding areas, they make great cut or edible flowers too.

Plant in deep, fertile, reliably moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part-shade. Apply a balanced fertiliser preferably every two weeks. Deadhead as required to remove damaged/dead flowers.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead spent blooms frequently to encourage continuous flowering and keep the display looking fresh. Marigolds are easy to grow, pest-resistant, and ideal for adding rich orange and yellow tones to summer bedding schemes.

How to Water

Water regularly, especially during dry spells, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Marigolds are fairly drought-tolerant but will perform best with consistent moisture. Avoid overhead watering to prevent marking the petals and foliage.

How to Plant

Plant Marigold bedding plants in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny location. These bold, bushy plants are perfect for borders, containers, or mass planting, with vibrant flowers that bring long-lasting colour. Space plants 20–30cm apart to allow airflow and even growth.
