Product description

This six pack of Marigold French Durango Orange bedding plants is perfect for abundant summer displays with their bold orange anemone-crested flowers. They are early flowering and this variety is particularly renowned for its strong stems and excellent branching. This bushy, herbaceous dwarf annual brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effects in window boxes, containers and edging. The flowers are also excellent for cutting and are even edible, perfect for creating summer party decorations.

Plant in deep, fertile, reliably moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part-shade. Apply a balanced fertiliser preferably every two weeks. Deadhead as required to remove damaged/dead flowers.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead spent blooms frequently to encourage continuous flowering and keep the display looking fresh. Marigolds are easy to grow, pest-resistant, and ideal for adding rich orange and yellow tones to summer bedding schemes.

How to Water

Water regularly, especially during dry spells, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Marigolds are fairly drought-tolerant but will perform best with consistent moisture. Avoid overhead watering to prevent marking the petals and foliage.

How to Plant

Plant Marigold bedding plants in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny location. These bold, bushy plants are perfect for borders, containers, or mass planting, with vibrant flowers that bring long-lasting colour. Space plants 20–30cm apart to allow airflow and even growth.
