Product description

The pink counterpart to the White Musk Mallow, 'Rosea' produces copious amounts of soft, clear pink flowers that bloom persistently throughout the summer months. It possesses a loose, relaxed growth habit that weaves beautifully through mixed herbaceous borders, creating a highly naturalistic, meadow-like feel.

It requires full sun to flower at its best and prefers soil that doesn't sit wet, particularly during the dormant season. Keep the plant blooming by regularly deadheading the spent pink flowers, and cut the stems right back to the base once the display has completely finished.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Malva plants are highly susceptible to a fungal disease called rust; to prevent this, ensure they have plenty of open airflow around their stems and strictly avoid getting the foliage wet when you water them.

How to Water

Water Malva deeply once the top inch of soil is dry. They are moderately drought-tolerant but bloom best with consistent moisture. Avoid overhead watering to prevent rust disease; focus on the base to keep foliage dry.

How to Plant

Settle these easygoing perennials into average, well-draining garden dirt, giving them plenty of overhead sunlight. Malva grow incredibly fast and will easily fill in gaps in a mixed border, so space them about two feet apart from slower-growing neighbors.
