Product description
Malva moschata 'Alba', or White Musk Mallow, is a delightful, bushy perennial that produces an abundance of delicate, pure white, saucer-shaped flowers with finely textured, papery petals. The deeply lobed, mid-green foliage emits a subtle, musky fragrance when brushed against, adding a sensory element to cottage and informal gardens.
This plant is incredibly easy to grow and thrives in almost any moderately fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny position. It is relatively short-lived but self-seeds prolifically if a few flower heads are left to mature, ensuring a continuous presence of white blooms in the garden year after year.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Malva plants are highly susceptible to a fungal disease called rust; to prevent this, ensure they have plenty of open airflow around their stems and strictly avoid getting the foliage wet when you water them.
How to Water
Water Malva deeply once the top inch of soil is dry. They are moderately drought-tolerant but bloom best with consistent moisture. Avoid overhead watering to prevent rust disease; focus on the base to keep foliage dry.
How to Plant
Settle these easygoing perennials into average, well-draining garden dirt, giving them plenty of overhead sunlight. Malva grow incredibly fast and will easily fill in gaps in a mixed border, so space them about two feet apart from slower-growing neighbors.
