Product description

Magnolia loebneri Leonard Messel is a medium sized shrub and a very vigorous grower. Light green leaves grow on branches, accompanied in spring by a stunning floral display. Large flowers with narrow tepals bloom in shades of lilac and pink, fading to white in the centres.

Plant Magnolia loebneri Leonard Messel in moist, well drained, neutral or acidic soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot in the garden and shelter from any cold winds throughout winter. A beautiful, low-maintenance plant which would make a perfect centrepiece in any garden.

Instructions

Top Tip

Magnolias benefit from protection against strong winds, which can damage their delicate flowers.

How to Water

Magnolias prefer regular watering, especially during dry spells. Ensure the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged. Deep watering is recommended for strong root development.

How to Plant

Plant Magnolias in well-draining, slightly acidic soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant, and fill with soil. Water well after planting, and mulch to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
