Product description

Add a burst of colour to your garden with Knautia macedonica. Also known as Macedonian Scabious, this hardy perennial produces striking deep red, pincushion-shaped flowers all summer long, bringing height and texture to borders, containers, or mixed flower beds.

Plant Knautia macedonica in full sun or partial shade with well-draining soil, water until established, and enjoy a plant that thrives with minimal attention. Occasional deadheading will keep the blooms coming, making it a reliable, low-maintenance choice that delivers season after season of vibrant colour.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Use sticks to support young stems, helping prevent them from flopping over before the flowers appear

How to Water

Water regularly, especially while the plant is settling in, aiming to keep the soil consistently moist but not overly wet

How to Plant

Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and water it thoroughly. Gently remove the plant from the pot, loosen any tangled roots, and place it in the hole. Gently backfill the soil and compost, firming down gently, then water in well.
