Pinky Winky is a compact Hydrangea Paniculata variety boasting dark purple-red stems, mid-green foliage and large, conical panicles of pink summer flowers. These spicy-scented, star-shaped flowers emerge from green-white buds and bloom from August to September, providing colour interest late in the season. The strong stems hold the panicles, which can reach up to 40cm long, upright to create an eye-catching show of flowers.
Position your new Hydrangea plant in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. To promote strong roots, add some organic matter into the soil and water the shrub regularly until fully established. Prune hard in early spring to encourage a spectacular show of summer flowers.
