Product description
Rosemary 'Sea Level' is a popular perennial herb, famously prized for its unique, semi-prostrate habit, which makes it perfect for spilling over walls or as a dense groundcover. The primary part used for its culinary value is its aromatic, needle-like leaves, which provide a classic, robust, and piney rosemary flavour essential for seasoning roasted meats, vegetables, and breads. However, its edibility doesn't stop there; the attractive, small blue flowers that appear on the plant are also edible and make a beautiful, fragrant garnish.
When it comes to planting and maintenance, this is an easy-to-grow, spreading evergreen shrub, but it has very specific demands. It is extremely fussy about its light conditions and absolutely must have a location in full, direct sun to thrive. The main requirement for it to grow well is providing it with soil that is exceptionally well-drained, as it strongly dislikes "wet feet" and is very drought-tolerant once established. As an added benefit to the garden, its attractive blue flowers are known to be a major favourite of bees.

Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Rosemary 'Sea Level' grows so densely that it effectively acts as a living mulch, suppressing weeds better than almost any other variety. However, ensure you plant it on a slight slope or mound, as this prostrate habit can trap moisture against the main stem if on flat ground.
How to Water
Once established, Rosemary 'Sea Level' requires very little water and thrives on neglect. Only water during extreme dry heat, ensuring any excess moisture drains away immediately.
How to Plant
Position the trailing Rosemary 'Sea Level' in full sun at the top of a wall or in a tall pot where it can cascade freely. Use gritty, free-draining soil.
