Product description

Geranium Laura brings a fresh, elegant feel to summer planting, with masses of pure-white double flowers held above deeply divided green foliage. The ruffled blooms appear from late spring through summer, creating a soft display that works particularly well alongside other perennials. With its upright, clump-forming growth, Laura sits neatly towards the front or middle of a border and also makes an excellent choice for a patio pot or container.

There is not much fuss involved in keeping Laura happy. A sunny or partially shaded position and fertile, well-drained soil will suit it well, with regular watering while it establishes and during longer periods of dry weather. Remove faded flowers as they appear to encourage further blooms, then cut the plant back once the foliage has died down in autumn, leaving the roots safely tucked away until it starts growing again in spring.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Give it a haircut when the first flush of flowers has finished. Geraniums can look a little tired after flowering, but cutting the spent stems and scruffy foliage back encourages a fresh flush of leaves and can give the plant another spell of flowers.

How to Water

Water Cranesbill regularly while it establishes, particularly during warm or dry weather. Once settled, it is reasonably tolerant of short dry spells, but give it a thorough soak when the soil has dried out rather than little amounts of water too frequently.

How to Plant

Plant Cranesbill in full sun or partial shade, allowing around 30-45cm of space around it so the spreading clump has room to develop. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball, place the plant at the same depth as it was growing in its pot, then backfill, firm the soil gently, and water thoroughly.
