Product description

A blend of warm orange, apricot yellow, and soft lilac shades make Erysimum Spring Feeling a cheerful addition to the garden, with the blooms changing shade as they mature. The flowers are held in clusters above neat, evergreen foliage, while the compact, bushy habit makes it easy to fit into borders, containers, and smaller spaces. Also known as Wallflower, it flowers from spring into summer and has a sweet fragrance that makes it particularly pleasant to have near paths, patios, or seating areas.

Spring Feeling is happiest in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil, where it can grow into a neat, naturally rounded plant. It is relatively easy to look after once established, and removing faded flowers will encourage it to keep producing more blooms. The evergreen foliage stays in place beyond the main flowering season, giving the plant a useful presence in the garden throughout the year.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Once the main flush has finished, give the Wallflower a light tidy rather than leaving it to become leggy. This encourages fresh growth and helps keep Spring Feeling's naturally bushy shape.

How to Water

Water Wallflowers thoroughly after planting, then check the soil regularly and water when the surface begins to dry. Once established, it should cope well with normal conditions, but give it a good soak during prolonged dry spells, particularly while it is flowering.

How to Plant

Set Erysimum in a sunny spot where the soil drains well, leaving enough room around the plant for its compact shape to develop. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball, position the plant at the same depth as it was growing in its pot, then backfill and firm the soil gently around it.
