Product description

Erodium Bishop's Form is a rugged, highly textured little alpine that builds a tight evergreen cushion. It thrives in the hottest, most inhospitable environments, rewarding you with a massive, continuous display of vibrant magenta-pink flowers heavily marked with dark, intricate veins that act as landing strips for tiny solitary bees.

Plant the root ball shallowly in pure gravel or gritty dirt, ensuring the centre of the crown sits slightly elevated above the soil line to prevent moisture from pooling. Strictly withhold water and force the deep roots to search for their own hydration, making it the perfect plant for softening the harsh cracks between paving slabs.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Use Erodium Bishop's Form to brilliantly soften harsh paving stones by planting it directly into the gravelly cracks between the slabs.

How to Water

Strictly withhold water and force the deep roots of Erodium Bishop's Form to search for their own hydration deep within the rock crevices. It actively thrives in baking, arid conditions and will physically rot if you drench the soil on a regular basis. Only provide a drink if the earth has been bone dry for an extended period and the plant stops flowering.

How to Plant

Settle Erodium Bishop's Form into a sun-drenched spot that consists almost entirely of sharp grit and poor soil. Plant the root ball shallowly, making absolutely sure the crown is elevated slightly above the surrounding dirt level. Surround the base with a collar of small stones to keep the highly textured foliage off the wet mud.
