Product description
Echinacea, commonly known as coneflowers, are striking perennials that bring a touch of elegance to gardens with their tall stems and large, daisy-like flowers. The prominent central cones and drooping petals add architectural interest, making them excellent choices for borders, beds, and prairie-style plantings. Their impressive floral display and sturdy form add both colour and structure to outdoor spaces.
Thriving in well-drained soil under full sun, Echinacea is well-suited for UK gardens. Blooming from July through September, they complement other summer-flowering plants, enhancing the seasonal palette. These hardy perennials are also drought-tolerant once established, making them a low-maintenance addition to various garden settings.
Ideal for gardeners seeking long-lasting summer colour, Echinacea can be grown in patio pots or directly in garden beds. The vibrant flowers are not only visually appealing but also attract pollinators, supporting local biodiversity. Additionally, the blooms make excellent cut flowers, allowing you to bring their beauty indoors.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Deadhead spent blooms to extend flowering and encourage new growth. Leave some seed heads for winter interest and to attract wildlife like birds.
How to Water
Water young plants regularly during their first growing season, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Once established, Echinacea is drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering.
How to Plant
Plant Echinacea in well-drained soil in a sunny location. Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and twice as wide. Place the plant in the hole, backfill with soil, and firm gently. Space plants 30-60cm apart. Water thoroughly after planting to help them settle.
