Product description
Delphinium Summer Skies is a towering herbaceous perennial that provides a much softer, more romantic visual anchor than the darker varieties. It pushes up immense, vertical spikes heavily laden with pale, pastel sky-blue flowers that recede visually, making tight garden spaces feel significantly larger and deeper.
Dig a generous hole in an open, sun-drenched border utilising rich, crumbly earth, and apply a thick ring of dry mulch around the base to lock in the critical moisture it needs to build its massive stems. Clear away the dead, hollow stalks at the end of the season to prevent winter crown rot from setting in.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Apply a thick ring of dry mulch around the base of Delphinium Summer Skies, ensuring it does not touch the stems, to help lock that critical moisture into the ground.
How to Water
Provide a heavy, consistent supply of water to fuel the creation of Delphinium Summer Skies and its soft, pale blue flowers. The root system must never be allowed to dry out completely while the plant is actively pushing upward. Rely on a watering can aimed directly at the dirt to prevent the heavy flower heads from holding trapped water.
How to Plant
Dig a generous hole in an open, sunny border utilizing rich, crumbly earth that allows the roots of Delphinium Summer Skies to easily penetrate. Place the plant so the crown is completely exposed to the air rather than buried under heavy mud. Site it securely behind shorter, denser shrubs that can naturally block the wind from snapping its base.
