Also known as Sowbread, Cyclamen is particularly useful for adding colour during the cooler months when many summer plants have finished flowering.
Plant Sowbread in good-quality, free-draining compost and place it somewhere sheltered from strong winds. Top Tip
For a longer-lasting display, remove faded flowers and yellowing leaves by gently twisting and pulling them away from the base of the plant. This helps keep the Cyclamen tidy, prevents old growth from collecting around the crown, and allows the plant to put more energy into producing new blooms.
How to Water
Keep Cyclamen evenly moist after planting to help the roots establish, especially during dry periods. Allow the compost or soil to dry slightly between applications and avoid excess moisture around the crown and foliage, as Sowbread prefers good drainage. Apply water at the base of the plant rather than over the leaves and flowers to help keep it healthy.
How to Plant
