Boasting masses of bright golden yellow flowers with red-centres, Coreopsis Solar Mellow is irresistible to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, turning your garden into a hive of activity. The cheerful blooms decorate densely packed, bushy foliage from June all the way through to October, with the plant reaching an ultimate height of up to 60cm and spread of up to 30cm.
More commonly known as Tickseed, Coreopsis is low maintenance and easy to grow. It is usually grown in flower beds and borders but also grows well in pots and containers, making it ideal for brightening the patio. Plant in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. Water well during particularly dry spells and deadhead spent blooms to promote further flowering late into the season. Cut Coreopsis plants back to ground level in winter, ready for fresh new growth to emerge the following spring.

How to Plant
Wait until the risk of frost has passed and plant coreopsis in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. Enrich the soil with well-rotted organic matter and dig a hole around twice as wide as the root ball. Position the plant so the top of the root ball is at soil level then backfill with soil and compost, gently firm down, and water in well. Leave 40-50cm between plants.
