Product description
Ceanothus 'Millerton Point' is a hardy evergreen shrub that brings structure and subtle colour to your garden. From late spring into early summer, typically May to June, it produces clusters of creamy white flowers that stand out against its glossy green foliage. These blooms are a magnet for pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden. Ceanothus is a great choice for coastal gardens or exposed sites, thanks to its tolerance for wind and poor soils. Left to grow naturally, it forms a dense, bushy shape that works well in borders, hedges, or informal screens.
More commonly known as Californian Lilac, Ceanothus ‘Millerton Point’ thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, it’s drought-tolerant and low maintenance. Prune lightly after flowering to keep it tidy and encourage bushier growth but avoid cutting into old wood. It’s best planted in a sheltered spot in colder regions and benefits from a mulch in winter. With the right care, 'Millerton Point' will reward you with year-round greenery and a soft burst of white blooms every spring.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Since Ceanothus flowers in late spring, you can get a double hit of colour by planting early bulbs like Crocus or Narcissus underneath. They’ll bloom before the shrub takes over.
How to Water
Once established, Ceanothus needs very little watering as it's naturally drought-tolerant. In the first season, water regularly to help the roots settle, but after that, only water during prolonged dry spells. Overwatering can lead to root problems, so it’s best to keep it on the dry side.
How to Plant
Plant Ceanothus in well-drained soil and a sunny, sheltered spot, ideally against a south or west-facing wall for extra warmth. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, set the plant in level with the soil surface, backfill, and water well to help it establish.
