Made from non-woven materials, including viscose and polyester fibres, these capillary matting tray inserts are an easy way to ensure your plants get enough water. Simply soak the matting thoroughly then place it in the base of a growing tray with your pots or containers on top.

The moisture ensures compost doesn’t dry out and helps promote germination of seeds and young plants.

Capillary matting is designed to make sure plants have constant access to water that is evenly distributed. Although mainly used in greenhouses, this matting is also effective for watering house plants while you’re away.
