Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Deadhead spent flowers throughout the blooming season to encourage continuous flowering and maintain a neat appearance. In autumn, cut back the foliage to promote healthy growth the following year. For a vibrant and long-lasting display, consider planting in groups or alongside other low-maintenance perennials.
How to Water
Water Campanula thoroughly after planting to help establish strong roots. During dry periods, provide water regularly, especially in the first growing season. Once established, they prefer moderate watering and can tolerate short periods of drought. Ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged, as excessive moisture can lead to root rot. Early morning watering is best to reduce evaporation and keep the plant hydrated through the day.
How to Plant
To plant Campanula, select a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-draining soil. Loosen the soil and enrich it with compost before planting. Soak the root ball, then dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and slightly shallower than its depth. Space plants 30–50 cm apart to allow for spreading. Firm the soil gently around the plant and water thoroughly. Adding a layer of mulch will help retain moisture and suppress weeds, but keep it clear of the plant's crown.
