Product description
This six-pack of Polyanthus white bedding plants brings a touch of classic elegance and bright, clean colour to the garden. Each plant produces sturdy stems topped with a dense cluster of beautiful, pristine white flowers, often highlighted by a small, sunny yellow eye in the centre. Known for their hardiness, they have an exceptionally long flowering season, providing a continuous and spectacular display for many months. They have a fantastic impact in beds, borders, and containers.
When planting your gorgeous white Polyanthus, a spot in sun or partial shade is ideal, and it is crucial that the soil is moist but well-drained. You should water the plants regularly after planting to help them establish their roots. However, be very careful not to overwater them, as Polyanthus hate sitting in cold, waterlogged ground, which can easily cause their roots to rot.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
To keep your white polyanthus producing a continuous display, don't just pull off the individual dead flowers. Instead, snip off the entire faded flower stalk right down at its base.
How to Water
Bedding plants in containers need watering more often than those in the ground, as pots dry out much faster. Thirsty, fast-growing varieties are more demanding than hardier types. For any bedding plant, the best guide is to feel the soil and only water thoroughly when the top layer is dry to the touch.
How to Plant
Choose a spot in sun or partial shade with well-drained soil, adding compost for nutrients and grit if your soil is heavy. Space the Polyanthus about 15-20cm apart for a dense display, ensuring you plant them at the same depth they were in their pots to prevent rot. Firm the soil around each plant and finish by giving them a thorough watering to settle the roots.
