Product description
This six-pack of Bellis red bedding plants brings a splash of rich, vibrant colour to the garden. Each plant produces masses of beautiful, tightly-quilled, pom-pom like flowers in a shade of rich red, each with a cheerful yellow centre. Known for their hardiness, they have an exceptionally long flowering season, providing a continuous and spectacular display for many months. They have a fantastic impact at the front of beds, along path edges, and in containers, where their low-growing habit creates a dense and impressive carpet of colour.
When planting your gorgeous red Bellis, choose a spot in full sun for the most prolific floral display. It is crucial that the soil is moist but very well-drained. Water the plants regularly after planting to help them establish their roots, but be careful not to overwater, as Bellis dislike sitting in constantly waterlogged ground, which can easily cause their roots to rot.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
To keep the cheerful, low-growing flowers of your Bellis daisies looking clean and pristine, apply a thin layer of horticultural grit or fine bark chips on the soil around the plants after planting.
How to Water
Bedding plants in containers need watering more often than those in the ground, as pots dry out much faster. Thirsty, fast-growing varieties are more demanding than hardier types. For any bedding plant, the best guide is to feel the soil and only water thoroughly when the top layer is dry to the touch.
How to Plant
Choose a spot in sun or partial shade with well-drained soil, adding compost for nutrients and grit if your soil is heavy. Space the Bellis about 15-20cm apart for a dense display, ensuring you plant them at the same depth they were in their pots to prevent rot. Firm the soil around each plant and finish by giving them a thorough watering to settle the roots.
