Product description
Nasturtium Chameleon is an extraordinary, fast-growing scrambling annual whose flowers physically change colour as they age. Opening as a creamy primrose yellow, the petals develop splashes of rose-pink and deep crimson over time, resulting in a single container displaying multiple different shades simultaneously depending on the age of each bloom. Like all members of the Tropaeolum genus, both its circular green "parasol" leaves and its colourful petals are entirely edible, carrying a distinct, savory peppery kick.
To trigger the maximum colour-changing effect and force out heavy blooms, you must position this plant in full, baking sunlight. It thrives on absolute neglect and demands poor, unfertilized, sandy or chalky soil; if you give it rich compost and heavy feeding, it will grow a massive jungle of green leaves that buries the flowers entirely. Keep the watering can away until the soil feels parched and dusty to ensure the plant focuses its energy on reproduction rather than leafy expansion.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
If you want to see the full "Chameleon" effect, keep Nasturtium Chameleon in a hot, bright spot. The shifting flower colours are triggered by light and temperature changes that occur throughout the day.
How to Water
Nasturtium Chameleon is naturally drought-tolerant and prefers to be kept on the drier side. Only water when the soil feels parched to the touch. Over-watering will only encourage excessive green growth at the expense of its beautiful blooms.
How to Plant
For the best results, plant Nasturtium Chameleon in poor, well-drained soil in a full sun position. Rich soil will result in plenty of leaves but very few of those unique colour-changing flowers. They work perfectly in window boxes or as a pollinator-friendly ground cover.
