Product description
The Geranium Ivy Leaf Marimba is a vigorous, mat-forming variety that excels at weaving its long trailing stems through the gaps in your dense floral displays. It provides a massive, uninterrupted show of bright colour all summer long, backed by interestingly textured, scented leaves. It is, however, completely tender, meaning it will put on a spectacular performance during the warm months before eventually being wiped out by the cold weather.
It is absolutely critical that you do not leave the roots sitting in a damp, suffocating swamp of compost. Adhere strictly to a 'dry' watering regime by letting the top layer of dirt become completely arid before you provide a generous, heavy drink. Keeping the soil too wet will cause the leaves to turn yellow and drop off, ruining the lush trailing effect you are trying to achieve.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Feeding is absolutely critical for pushing out long, flowering vines. Apply a high-potash tomato fertilizer every two weeks to fuel the rapid growth. This nutrient boost guarantees your Geranium Ivy Leaf Marimba will produce a relentless display of colour down the sides of the basket.
How to Water
These trailing varieties need their root zones to breathe between drinks to avoid deadly rot. Push your finger into the soil to check that the top layer is completely dry before adding any moisture. Giving your Geranium Ivy Leaf Marimba a deep drench only when necessary keeps the roots incredibly healthy.
How to Plant
Instead of the centre, you will want to tuck the root ball near the rim of your container. Angling the plant slightly outward encourages the stems to immediately spill over the plastic edge. Placing your Geranium Ivy Leaf Marimba here gives its trailing vines the clearance they need to cascade properly.
