Product description

The Geranium Bullseye Cherry serves as a magnificent clumping centrepiece, building a strong, upright structure right in the middle of your hanging baskets. It features deeply zoned, pungent-scented leaves and pushes out massive clusters of striking cherry-red flowers throughout the entire summer. While it provides a bold and traditional visual impact, it is a strictly tender plant that will instantly die at the first sign of winter frost and offers virtually nothing to local pollinators due to its highly bred flower shape.

When managing hydration for this vigorous grower, you must adhere to a strict 'dry' watering regime to prevent devastating root issues. It is absolutely essential to wait until the top two inches of the potting compost have dried out completely before reaching for your watering can. Once the soil feels properly dry to the touch, give the roots a heavy, thorough drenching, as leaving the fleshy stems sitting in constantly waterlogged dirt will quickly cause them to rot into an irrecoverable mush.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

The secret to endless blooms is staying on top of the deadheading process. When a flower cluster fades, trace the stem all the way back to the main branch and snap it off cleanly. This simple trick prevents your Geranium Bullseye Cherry from wasting energy on seed production and forces new buds to open instead.

How to Water

This specific type of plant actively despises sitting in heavy, waterlogged dirt. You must wait until the top two inches of compost feel completely dry to the touch. Once it reaches that point, give your Geranium Bullseye Cherry a heavy soak.

How to Plant

To get the best structure in your bedding plants, position the roots dead centre in a high-quality loam compost. You should dig a hole just deep enough so the crown sits level with the soil surface. Doing this ensures your Geranium Bullseye Cherry has the perfect stable base to build its upright mound.
