If Twinspur begins to look tired in midsummer or the flowering slows, trim the plant back by around a third and follow with a light feed. This encourages a quick flush of fresh growth and new blooms, usually appearing again within a couple of weeks.
How to Water
Water Twinspur regularly to keep the compost lightly moist, especially during warm or dry spells when containers can dry out quickly. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings, as the plant dislikes sitting in waterlogged conditions.
How to Plant
Plant Twinspur into well‑drained soil or a good multipurpose compost, setting each plant at the same depth it was growing in its pot. Space the plants 20-25cm apart, firm in gently, and water well to help them settle and spread into a neat, flowering mound.
