Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Bacopa has fine, fibrous roots that don’t bounce back well from drought. Even one dry spell can stall flowering for weeks. Consistent moisture keeps the plant blooming continuously. A standard multipurpose compost works, but adding a small amount of coir or water‑retaining gel helps keep baskets from drying out too quickly in warm weather.
How to Water
Keep Bacopa well hydrated by giving it regular, steady moisture throughout the growing season. It prefers soil that stays consistently damp without becoming waterlogged, and allowing it to dry out too much can cause flowering to stall.
How to Plant
Plant Bacopa directly into baskets, containers, or the edges of mixed displays once the risk of frost has passed. Gently tease out the roots, set the plant at the same depth it was growing in its pot, and firm the compost lightly around it to help it settle in.
