A compact herbaceous perennial shrub well-suited to small garden displays or borders but providing a very vibrant display, The Alstroemeria Colorita ‘Katiana’, sometimes called the ‘Princess Katiana, or by its common name of Peruvian Lily. This plant carries deep green, tapered leaves with a cream-white variegation along with large, striking crimson blooms from late Spring. These flowers will bloom continuously through the Summer and into the beginnings of Autumn.
Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun a sheltered position. Low maintenance but will require some protection in colder regions. May suffer dieback during harsh Winters but fresh growth should appear the following Spring.

Choose a sheltered spot in full sun with free-draining soil and dig a hole around 20cm deep and slightly wider than the root ball. Add some well-rotted organic matter to the hole and leave 40-60cm between plants.
