Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: A compact, deciduous shrub with small, dark-green pinnate leaves. Vibrancy of the flower colourations depend on the season and amount of sunlight, but in general it has flowers with deep oranges and yellows.
Growth & Spread: A slow to medium rate grower. Heights and spreads of approximately equal dimensions from 0.5 to 1.0 m.
Flourishing Season: Fantastic oranges and yellows during flowering. The flowering season is most of the summer into autumn, from June through October.
Water & Maintenance: Water until established. Does best in moist and well-drained soil. Low maintenance plant.
“Hopley’s Orange” is a compact, deciduous shrub with a bushy habit. It has small, dark-green pinnate leaves which are approximately 3 cm in length. Five-petalled flowers, approximately 5 cm across, bloom during the summer months with various hues of oranges and yellows.
Generally, prefers sun to partially shaded areas. In full sun, the colour of the flowers may not be as brilliant. Also, the flowering will last longer if the soil is able to maintain levels of moisture.
Although it is deciduous, it is full hardy and can withstand the temperatures in all of the UK. Prune unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the beginning of spring.
Suggested uses include: flower borders and beds where its beautiful blooms can add to colourful arrangements as a backdrop; use as a unique hedge or screen in a city garden due to its decorative flowering; or in more informal garden settings, as such, it works great in coastal areas, as well as gardens and plantings around a cottage.
