• Characteristics: Unique evergreen shrub with colour-changing foliage and small, dainty flowers that grow in panicles. Compact and low maintenance. Great choice for a patio plant.
• Plant advice: The recommended soil type for your Pieris is an acidic, moderately fertile, moist and well-drained kind. Best to plant in mid-autumn to late winter. Light watering is all your new shrub will need, and it will thrive in a location that benefits from full sun or partial shade.

The Pieris Carnaval (sometimes misspelled as Carnival) is an evergreen upright shrub with leathery dark-green leaves showcasing cream-white variegation. New leaves will grow in as a vibrant bright red in spring, fading to pink, then green in the summer.

You can expect your Carnaval to not only show off its rich and varied foliage year-round, but also sprout bell-shaped, fragrant blooms that grow in white and cream-coloured clusters in Winter and Spring.

Please note that these beautiful plants can unfortunately cause severe discomfort if parts of them are digested. Make sure to handle with gloves, and wash your hands carefully after handling.
