The Livistona palm, also known as the Chinese fan palm, is a stunning tropical plant that is native to Southeast Asia. It is a slow-growing palm that can reach up to 30 feet in height and 10-15 feet in width. The most striking feature of the Livistona is its large, circular, fan-like fronds that can grow up to 3 feet in diameter. The fronds are bright green in colour and are made up of numerous slender leaflets that are evenly spaced along the frond's central stalk. The trunk of the Livistona palm is slender and smooth, with a light grey colour that blends in with the green fronds. The plant is highly versatile and can be grown as a specimen plant, in containers, or as part of a tropical garden. It is drought-tolerant and does best in full sun to partial shade.
