Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Bushy evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green foliage and clusters of pale red flowers from Summer.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 1 – 2m.
Period of Interest: Year-round interest. Clusters of drooping, trumpet-shaped cerise or cherry red flowers appearing from mid-Summer through to Autumn.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soils. Keep in full or partial sun in sheltered position to protect from cold, drying winds.
A beautiful evergreen with striking colour, the Escallonia Red Knight is a variety of the popular shrub and is a great choice for informal hedging or borders near paths. It is a somewhat compact, bushy plant with glossy, dark green foliage and loose, pendulous clusters of tubular cherry red flowers which bloom from early to mid-Summer through to the beginnings of Autumn.
Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position to protect from cold, drying winds. Drought tolerant once established and suitable for coastal regions.
