Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Compact, vigorous evergreen shrub with large, glossy ovate dark green leaves and pink-red flowers from early Summer.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 1 – 2m.
Period of Interest: Year-round interest. Loose clusters of small, Trumpet-shaped, bright pink-red flowers appearing in the Summer months.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soils. Keep in full sun in sheltered position to protect from cold Winter winds. Drought tolerant once established.
A more compact variety but a fast grower, the Escallonia ‘Donard Radiance’ is a great choice for easy to maintain climbers, as they won’t grow too out of control and are easy to prune back. This plant carries relatively large, glossy dark green foliage, which is accompanied by loose panicles of small, trumpet-shaped rose-red flowers from early Summer.
Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position to protect from cold, drying winds. Drought tolerant once established and suitable for coastal regions.
