Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
SEASONAL AVAILABILITY - Bare Root plants are supplied from late November until Spring the following year.
CHARACTERISTICS - Quercus robur is known for it's deep dark green foliage that changes to shades of bright orange before falling in Autumn.
HEIGHT AND SPREAD - Supplied in their dormant state, English Oak grows at 1-2ft per year and can reach up to 25m+ at full maturity.
PLANTING TIPS - Bare-Root hedging is typically planted in a double staggered row of 5 plants per metre. Evergreen plants are generally planted to less density than deciduous plants, such is the nature of their dense foliage.
Quercus robur is commonly known as 'English Oak' it is an extremely popular native tree that displays deep dark green foliage in Summer. Just before Autmun the leaves turn to different shades of orange before falling in Winter. Oak trees produce many acorns that are a natural food source for many types of wild birds and other wildlife species including squirrels.
Quercus robur will do fine in any type of soil or location. English Oak grows at around 1-2 feet per year and can reach up to 25m+ in its lifetime.
