Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Spreading, deciduous tree with an upright habit and mid-green leaves turning to purple and red in the Autumn.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height of 4 – 8m and spread of 2 – 4m.
Flourishing Season: Tiny green flowers surrounded by large white bracts turning to pink-red with age followed by small strawberry-like fruit in Autumn.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Keep in partial or full sun. Full sun tolerated but may cause leaf scorch.
Cornus ‘Gloria Birkett’ is a species of Flowering Dogwood well known for their ease of care and low maintenance. The foliage appears a mid-green when young, later turning to red and purple as Autumn approaches. Tiny green flowers appear in a tight cluster and are surrounded by large white bracts that, just like the foliage, gain a shade of pink and then red as they age and later give way to small, berries in the Autumn.
A low maintenance, easy to grow tree. Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. The foliage is susceptible to leaf scorch under full sun during the warm Summer months in some climates.
