Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Deciduous, ornamental tree. Red-purple flowers form on bare branches, before heart-shaped, maroon leaves appear in Spring and variegated green and white colours follow.
Flowering: Pea-like, red-purple flowers from early Spring into Summer.
Height and Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 3m.
Hardiness and Best: Fully hardy. Appreciates being placed in full sun, although partial shade is best in warmer weather.
Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil.
Cercis canadensis Carolina Sweetheart is a deciduous, ornamental tree that brings an abundance of colour into your garden. It has an umbrella-like growth habit and is often multi-stemmed. The tree will bloom from Spring into Summer with gorgeous, red-purple buds on bare branches. It will then form heart-shaped, maroon leaves that eventually bear a variegated mix of green and cream colour. This variety is the perfect, eye-catching addition for sunny spots in garden borders or plant displays and will attract butterflies and bees.
More commonly known as Eastern Redbud, this tree prefers to be grown in fertile, well-drained soil. It is best grown in full sunlight, although partial shade is recommended when weather conditions are hotter. You should avoid wet or poorly drained soil and water it regularly to ensure the plant progresses adequately.
