• Characteristics: Berberis Diabolicum is a bushy, deciduous shrub with foliage that changes colour in all seasons. In Spring, the foliage is green with a red tint, before gaining a green and yellow mix in Summer. Finally, in Autumn, the foliage is shaded in both orange and yellow. In terms of flowers and fruit, yellow flowers appear in Spring and red fruit will show up in Autumn. Due to the plants deciduous nature, it will lose its leaves later in the year, before returning with fresh new foliage in Spring.

After planting, you should water the plant thoroughly for a period, then ensure it gets a good watering in the Summer months. The key to caring for this plant is to ensure the soil is moist, but not water-logged.

Berberis Diabolicum is a bushy, deciduous shrub that has various colours of foliage in all seasons of the year. Spring sees green foliage with a red tint and yellow flowering, before green and yellow mixed foliage in Summer. In Autumn, the foliage is shaded in both orange and yellow, which is joined by red fruit that adds even more colour to proceedings. Moist, well-drained soil and full sun is how the plant should be planted and placed in. Once it is planted, thoroughly water it for a period, with Summer seeing consistent watering to keep up with the higher temperatures. Moist soil should always be maintained, so long as it avoids becoming waterlogged.
