Due to the plants deciduous nature, it will lose its leaves later in the year, before returning with fresh new foliage in Spring.
Plant Advice: Weigela should be planted in moist, well-drained soil and kept in full sun at the best of times. The plant will be drought tolerant to an extent, but it will prefer regular watering so that the soil remains moist, especially in drier conditions.
