  • Characteristics: Compact, bushy deciduous shrub with light green foliage flushed with purple and loose panicles of funnel-shaped pink-red flowers from late Spring.
  • Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.5 – 1m.
  • Period of Interest: Spring and Summer interest. Bright pink-red, funnel-shaped flowers from late Spring through to early Summer throughout dense foliage.
  • Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, fertile, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Keep in full or partial sun. Tolerates most soil types and light conditions.

A compact but bright variety with dense, colourful foliage and lovely flowers which, together, provide a long period of interest in any position around the garden. The Weigela ‘Rumba’ is a bushy, deciduous shrub with narrow, light green leaves marked with touches of purple along the edges. Panicles of bright pink-red, funnel-shaped flowers appear all through the foliage from late Spring and into the start of Summer. A great choice for container planting or small garden displays.

Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soils and keep in full or partial sun. Easy to grow and low maintenance. Tolerant of most soil types and conditions.
